readability

Ok on this one i scaled it at 106 points and i used Garmond. i used the type tool and wrote the word out and then i used the rotate tool on the second one, and i individually typed out each letter and rotated the letter. The third one i used the reflect tool and i also typed each letter out individually and tried to pace them neatly. I do believe that something like this is readable long as you dont try to over do it. I do believe that a project such as this should stay really simple.

  1. What do the rest of you think about this transformation? Do you think that the third version is any more or less readable than the second? Can you see the linear progression from readable to illegible? (KANEKALON is a trademarked product name, by the way).

  2. I'm gonna be honest here. The last two don't seem much different to me. But all in all o had trouble with all of it because I did not know what kanekalon was and so I felt like it was either two words that were smoothed (kane-kalon) or a jumble. I think like what you explained with Ricky that the all caps kind of keep all of it seemingly the same and doesn't allow for to much different interpretation. It all seems to run together.
